Frequently Asked Questions About Our Wedding Stationery Process

When should I order my day of wedding paper?

We would like to start working on these details about 2-3 months before the wedding!

What if I am still finalizing details close to the wedding day?

Totally fine! The goal is to get everything designed ahead of time so that once you have the final guest count and seating arrangements, we can update that and go to print!

What items should I include in my day of paper order?

This varies based on each couple and what you have planned for your wedding day. Think about your guest experience and walk through the day as they would:

  1. Before the event: When guests check into their hotel, would you like to have a welcome bag waiting, a note with the weekend activities, personalized water bottles, and other treats?

  2. Ceremony: How do you want your guests to be greeted? A large welcome sign is one of our most common items! Would it be helpful for your guests to have a program with the ceremony details?

  3. Cocktail Hour: Custom cocktail napkins are one of our favorite ways to add a personal experience. Fun facts, your wedding monogram, a sketch of your pups - this is a simple way to add character to the event! When your guest walks up to the bar, a bar menu with your signature cocktails and other beverages available is super helpful!

  4. Reception: How will your guests know where to sit? Do you want a large seating chart display or something more simple like escort cards? When they walk to their table, what would you like them to see - table numbers, place cards, and menus are all items to consider for the table design.

  5. Anything else that comes to mind - feel free to reach out! Tell us about your event and we can suggest the perfect details to make the special moments stand out!

What information needs to be included in a wedding program?

Typically you would include the order of events for the ceremony, as well as the wedding party. Many couples will add on a thank you note and an “In loving memory” section to their program. Depending on how much information you have, this can be done as a flat card, or if you are looking to include songs, readings, etc. a booklet style may be a better fit.

If I am doing a buffet-style meal, do I need a menu card?

Up to you! Giving some sort of indication as to what the guest can expect when entering the buffet line is helpful. We have done menus at each place setting, one menu per table, or large signs at the start of the buffet line with the menu items listed.

My guest’s pre-selected their entrée. How do we indicate this on the menus?

Either on the menu or the place card, we can use symbols (cow, fish, carrot), initials (B, F, V), or we can color code the items - for example, light blue menus mean beef, navy menus mean fish and white menus mean vegetarian. Pass the color code along to the catering team and we’ve indicated meal choices while still keeping with the wedding table design!

What sort of material is used for the large seating chart signs?

We have multiple options for this! Foam board and acrylic are the most common, however, we also can print on wood or fabric banners. Have an idea? Let us know! We are always open to exploring new materials and print options.
